CORTEX is earlier orchestration work that remains part of NorthCore’s engineering history. Its records document a manager/control layer, runtime coordination, terminals, worktrees and a ledger around real engineering work.
What remains useful
The useful contribution is not a claim of autonomous delivery. It is the operational question of how context, routing, isolated implementation and review can make engineering work more observable.
Relationship to Orca
The current workflow is represented through Orca. CORTEX records provide historical evidence around the September 1, 2026 operating environment, but this page does not claim a formal product lineage from CORTEX to Orca.
Current treatment
CORTEX remains accessible as history and engineering ancestry, while Orca carries the current operational representation of the workflow. This keeps the previous work visible without presenting it as the current flagship.
